The
effects of aging are inevitable, and often the eyebrow and forehead
region show the first signs. Heaviness to the upper eyelids and forehead
often make a person appear angry, sad or tired. A forehead lift or
"Endoscopic-browlift" is used to correct a drooping browline
and forehead wrinkles. The The surgery begins with placement of the incisions. In endoscopic browlifting four small incisions are made within the hairline. The endoscope is then placed through these incisions to visualize the surgical field. The entire forehead is repositioned to a more youthful height and the eyebrow arch is re-established. The procedure usually lasts one to two hours. You will experience a certain amount of bruising and swelling for approximately one week after surgery. As the incisions heal, you may experience some numbness or itching at the site. The sutures are usually removed at one week. The area is bandaged for one to two days after surgery. Not infrequently, a browlift is combined with eyelid surgery to provide a harmonious rejuvenation.
It seems like everybody is talking about BOTOX® cosmetic, the highly effective, non-surgical procedure that can dramatically reduce your toughest wrinkle. BOTOX® is used on the upper portion of the face and targets the wrinkles on the forehead, between the eyebrows’ and the crow’s feet. One ten-minute treatment, a few tiny injections, can reduce wrinkles that took years to form. BOTOX® is a natural purified protein produced by a bacterium that works by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles. BOTOX® is FDA approved and minimally invasive with no downtime or recovery. BOTOX® treatments typically last between 3-6 months.
Collagen
is FDA approved and has been safely used for decades to smoothen lines
and wrinkles on the lower face.
Facial implants help change the basic structure of the face to give a fuller look. Facial surgery is most often done with better definition of the chin, cheeks, or jaw. Implants can vary in size and shape.
Chemical peels improve the overall appearance of your facial skin by removing the damaged outer layer, and as a result, facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation are virtually eliminated. A variety of peeling agents and formulations can be used, but the most consistent and commonly used agents are alphahydroxy acids (AHAs), trichloroacetic acid (TCA), and phenol.
